Recently I made some of these Chocolate Covered Rainbow Strawberries for St. Patrick’s Day, then posted the recipe over at my friend Jamie’s blog, Love Bakes Good Cakes. My kids absolutely adored them, so I thought I would do something simple like this for Easter as well.

I love these Chocolate-Covered Easter Strawberries! They’re so easy to make and better than a brownie, right?! I love that they add so much color and have a warm spring feel. They brighten any table.

I love making fun and easy recipes, especially in the spring. Easter is my favorite time to make desserts and treats. The flavors, colors, and warm weather just make for a happy combination, right?!

So celebrate this Easter holiday or spring season with these Chocolate-Covered Easter Strawberries. Trust me, they are better than that chocolate bunny… well, maybe.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Melt white candy wafers per package directions. Hold the strawberry by its stem and dip into the white chocolate; lift & slightly twist the strawberry, letting any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Set on parchment paper, and repeat with the remaining chocolate & strawberries. Let the strawberries rest for 10 minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden & set completely.

Tips on Decorating chocolate covered strawberries for easter

  • Once the chocolate has hardened, make the carrot using the Wilton Decorating Gel orange by making a V and filling it in.
  • Now make the stems by making a little W above the carrot.
  • Sometimes, the gel may still be wet, so be careful not to smear.
  • Let the strawberries rest for 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate and gel to completely harden & set.
  • You can also roll in Easter-colored sprinkles or dip in various amounts of colors.
  • Store the strawberries in the fridge so they stay fresh.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup Make ‘n Mold Candy Wafers white
  • 1 Wilton Decorating Gel Kelly Green
  • 1 Wilton Decorating Gel Orange
  • 12 large whole strawberries

Instructions
 

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
  • Melt white candy wafers per package directions. Hold the strawberry by its stem and dip into the white chocolate, lift & slightly twist the strawberry, letting any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Set on parchment paper, and repeat with the remaining chocolate & strawberries. Let the strawberries rest for 10 minutes, allowing the chocolate to completely harden & set.
  • Once the chocolate has hardened, make the carrot by using the Wilton Decorating Gel orange by making a V then simply fill it in.
  • Once you have completed the carrots, then make the stems by making a little W above the carrot.
  • Sometimes the gel may still be wet, so be careful not to smear.
  • Let the strawberries rest for 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate and gel to completely harden & set.
  • Now they are ready to serve. Store in the refrigerator so that the strawberries stay fresh.
