This Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan is a favorite Italian Classic. It’s easy to make while tasting just as delicious and cheesy as always.

I have tried Chicken Parmesan in so many different ways – like with Baked Chicken Parmesan Sticks. The kids always love these and I do too because they are so simple. They also love these Chicken Parmesan Taquitos. I also love this healthier Grilled Chicken Parmesan recipe when I have more time. Sometimes I twist things up and make this Chicken Parmesan Pasta Bake.

SLOW COOKER CHICKEN PARMESAN - A FAVORITE ITALIAN CLASSIC MADE EASY, WHILE TASTING JUST AS DELICIOUS.- white bowl, bran napkin, wooden table

I love Chicken Parmesan. Especially at our family’s favorite to-go-to place – Carrabba’s. They have a Crusted Parmesan Chicken with Arugula, and it is my absolute favorite dish. It comes with so much food that I have leftovers for the next day’s lunch. PERK!

What I love about Chicken Parmesan is all the bread crumbs – so of course, I had to incorporate them into the recipe. And friends, you can never have too much cheese – am I right? My son Madden and I love red sauce (aka Spaghetti Sauce). So I love that this dish is baked in the sauce. You could easily substitute the canned tomato sauce in this recipe for jarred spaghetti sauce – just be sure to adjust the seasonings then too.

My husband loves mushrooms and so when my friend Rachel made them like stuffed chicken parmesan, I knew this would be a hit with him. This Chicken Parmesan Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms recipe is divine. But on a busy night, I am more tempted to try out something like this Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet, easy and delicious. So whether you make Oven Baked Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches or this Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan, you will love that having this Italian classic has never been so easy or tasted so good. Enjoy friends. XOXO San

  1. Sounds delicious, only right now I am on a no pasta or bread for diet. I want the chicken as is with cheese and serve it with a salad. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.

  2. Hi-

Parm cheese isn’t in the ingredient list but then in the text, you say to add it without specifying how much. In the video, no parm is added to the tomato sauce or spices. Could you clarify? We are going to go along with the video and hope that not adding the parm right away doesn’t mess things up too much…

    1. Sorry I have been out sick. Hope this gets to you in time. I added the Parmesan with the bread crumbs. Sorry just noticed I left that out. It’s 1/4 cup.

      1. Thank you for the quick reply! We cooked this meal yesterday and liked it. I think we will try mozzarella next time and maybe one of our favorite tomato sauces. We liked the meal as written but thought the 3 tbs of Italian seasoning was a bit too much!

Thanks for all of your recipes, we’ve tried so many and are generally always very pleased!!

Are you using a large crock pot? And is the setting
on the crockpot low or high for 4-5 hours?
    Thx

    1. This feeds my entire family of 7 but I have little kids too – makes a pretty large batch anywhere from 6-10 people depending on the size of the people eating it.

  4. This is the closest to Olive Garden Chicken Parmesan we’ve ever tried. My husband even went back for more sauce. So delicious and easy to prepare. We loved it so much! Thank you for sharing with us. ❌⭕️

  5. Do you think I could make this early morning and put it all in the crock pot insert and refrigerate until 4-5 hours before I am ready to serve it? I am away at work about 9 hours so that woood be too long to cook it. My husband could put the insert in the crock pot when he comes home mid day!

    1. Hi Rhonda! We do not have an Instant Pot and haven’t tested the recipe in one, so we can’t say for sure how it would work out. If you do give it a try be sure to let us know how it goes!
