How to Make German Chocolate Carrot Cake

– Carrot baby food – Eggs – Canola oil – Flour – Sugar – Salt – Baking soda – Maple syrup – Cinnamon – Evaporated milk – Egg yolks – Butter – Vanilla – Coconut – Cream cheese frosting

Step 1: Mix all carrot cake ingredients and pour into 2 greased cake pans. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Set aside to cool completely.

Step 2: In a saucepan mix evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla over low-medium heat until it simmers. Stir until thick. Remove from heat and stir in pecans and coconut.

Step 3: Beat together the butter and cream cheese. Slowly add the powdered sugar a cup at a time until smooth and creamy. Set in the refrigerator.

Step 4: Frost the cooled cakes with the cream cheese frosting, then frost the side with the coconut pecan frosting. Place in fridge until the frosting sets enough to cut the cake.

Step 5: Remove from fridge, slice, serve, and enjoy!
