How to Make Lemon Poke Cake

– White cake mix, prepared – Granulated sugar – Lemon juice – Butter – Lemon Zest – Large eggs – Heavy cream – Powdered sugar – Almond extract – Fresh berries for serving
Bake cake according to package directions and let it cool completely at room temperature in the cake pan. Poke holes with the round end of a wooden spoon.
To make the lemon curd, combine lemon juice, zest, sugar, eggs, and butter in a saucepan. Cook until it’s thickened. Cool to room temp and then spread into the holes.
