Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan

⋆ Ingredients ⋆

– 2 large chicken breasts – 3 T. Italian seasoning – 1/4 cup parmesan cheese – 1 teaspoon salt – 2 teaspoons sugar – 1 teaspoon granulated garlic – 1/2 teaspoon onion powder – 6 slices mozzarella – 28 ounces tomato sauce – 2 tablespoons olive oil – 3/4 cup bread crumbs – 1-2 eggs – salt and pepper to taste – pasta for serving

⋆ Step 1 ⋆

Mix bread crumbs, parmesan, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside. Coat chicken in beaten eggs and then add to the bread crumb mixture until coated.

Stir together tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, sugar, granulated garlic, and onion powder

⋆ Step 3 ⋆

Oil the bottom of your slow cooker and cover chicken with sauce, then top with provolone or mozzarella 

⋆ Step 4 ⋆

Close lid and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F

⋆ Step 5 ⋆

Serve on top of pasta and top with shredded or sliced parmesan and parsley for garnish.

This is the closest to Olive Garden Chicken Parmesan we’ve ever tried. My husband even went back for more sauce. So delicious and easy to prepare. We loved it so much!
