Homemade Drop Biscuits

These homemade drop biscuits are easy to make and even easier to eat. Plus,
you don’t need a rolling pin or a lot of time to make them.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 2 cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl add flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt, sift together.
  • Whisk together milk and melted butter and mix into flour mixture until combined.
  • Drop batter onto a greased 9x13 pan, I do 3x5 rows of biscuit dough. I used 1/3 cup of batter for each biscuit, this made about 15.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes or until a light golden brown.
  • Best if served immediately or great to serve later with breakfast gravy.
