Skillet Jalapeño Popper Dip

Skillet Jalapeño Popper Dip has all the flavor of a jalapeño popper but without the hassle. Served to you in a bacon filled, cheesy skillet of yumminess.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 jalapeño peppers
  • 1 lb. thick cut bacon crumbled
  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fontina cheese grated

Topping

  • fontina cheese grated
  • freshly grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Set oven to low broil. Cut the jalapeño peppers in half, remove seeds and stem then place face down on baking sheet. Skin side should be facing up. Place peppers in the oven. 
  • Once peppers, start to become charred on the top, after about 10-12 minutes, remove pan from oven and dice up the jalapeños and set aside.
  • Dice up the bacon, then add to a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until bacon is crispy. Remove bacon from pan onto a paper down and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl add cream cheese, fontina, and parmesan cheese. Mix together until well combined. Stir in bacon and jalapeño peppers. 
  • Spoon dip onto an oven proof skillet, place in oven, and cook for 20 minutes. Then remove dip from the oven and top with fontina and parmesan, place back in oven and cook until top is bubbly and has bubbles of color of light golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and serve with chips, crackers, vegetables, or just plain eat it with a spoon.
