Maple Pecan Granola
Maple Pecan Granola is a healthier granola option, great as a snack or topping on yogurt. It will quickly become a family favorite.

- 4 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts can sub with an extra 1/2 cup chopped pecans (I ran out of pecans, so I sub some walnuts in)
- 1/2 cup ground flax seed
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 2/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon maple flavoring optional
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a
baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl add oats, pecans, walnuts, flaxseed, cinnamon, and salt; toss to combine.
In a small mixing bowl or measuring cup whisk together coconut oil, maple syrup, and maple flavoring.
Pour maple mixture over the oat mixture and stir to coat evenly.
Spread oats evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 30 minutes. Stir oats on pan about 1/2 way through to evenly bake.
Set granola aside to cool completely. Store in an air-tight container.
