In a microwavable bowl, melt butter on high for 1 minute. Add in chocolate chips and heat in intervals for 30 seconds, stirring in between intervals. Repeat until completely melted, smooth and combined - about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and prepare large 17x10 baking sheet by spraying with cooking oil. Set aside. If you want to use a 9x9 pan, halve the recipe.
In a small mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add sugar and brown sugar. Slowly mix in chocolate and butter mixture, and then the vanilla until well incorporated. Add in one egg at a time, beating in between each addition.
Gently stir in the flour mixture and fold in M&M's®, Peanut Butter M&M's®, and Pretzel M&M's®.
Pour the Millionaire Brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Place in oven and bake for 35-38 minutes or until the brownies start to pull away from the edges of the pan, check at 30 minutes to see how they are doing. I always pull mine out at 35 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center of the brownies; it should come out with a few moist “crumbs”. At this point, it is done.
Set brownies aside to completely cool.
Once cooled, prepare frosting.
In a microwave safe bowl add butter, cover and heat for 1 minute.
Add in buttermilk and cocoa and heat for 2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds.
Add in powdered sugar and heat for 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds. Quickly stir in vanilla and pour over frosting, if frosting started to stiffen with the vanilla heat for another 30 seconds, then pour on brownies.
It is possible to overcook the frosting, so be sure to heat according to directions.
Perfect game night addition!
