Cookies
1cupsalted butter
3/4cupsugar
1cupbrown sugar
2eggs
1tablespoonvanilla extract
3cupsflour
1teaspoonbaking soda
2teaspoonssalt
3cupsM&Ms
Frosting
4cupsconfectioner's sugar
1/2cupbutter room temp
5tablespoonsmilk
1-2teaspoonsclear vanilla extract

Cookies
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt into a medium mixing bowl and stir 3 times to combine, then slowly beat into the butter & sugar mixture. Once combined, stir in M&M's.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop cookie dough into tablespoon sized balls on the baking sheet. Top with 2-3 M&Ms if desired.
Place in oven and bake 11-12 minutes or until a light golden brown. Let cool completely on a rack.
Frosting
Cream together the confectioner's sugar and butter until smooth. Gradually mix in the milk and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth and stiff, about 5 minutes. Color with food coloring if desired.
Frost cooled cookies with about a tablespoon of frosting each or as desired. Serve and devour!
