Best Ever Frosted M&M Cookies

These Best Ever Frosted M&M Cookies are a soft and chewy delicious cookie, made with a combination of my two favorite treats.

  • 1 1/2 cups butter softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups M&Ms


  • 4 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter room temp
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1-2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract



  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Beat together butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla on medium speed until creamy. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat on low speed until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; place on a cooling rack and completely cool.


  • Cream together the confectioner's sugar and butter until smooth. Gradually mix in the milk and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth and stiff, about 5 minutes. Color with food coloring if desired.
  • Frost cookies with about a tablespoon of frosting each or as desired. Top with sprinkles, serve, and devour!
