Cheese Fondue

This Cheese Fondue made with Swiss and cheddar is great for any occasion. Serve as an appetizer along with fresh vegetables, fruit, bread, or crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 pound Swiss cheese shredded
  • 1 pound Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan or fondue pot blend butter, flour, and milk to make white sauce.
  • Once the white sauce is made add the Swiss and Cheddar cheese melted.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste right before you serve.
  • Keep warm over low heat or in a fondue platter. Great to serve with vegetables and sourdough or French bread.
