Fudge Pie
1/2cupbutter
2ounceunsweetened chocolate
1cupsugar
2eggs
1teaspoonvanilla
1pre-made pie crust
Chocolate Mousse
1 1/2cupsmilk
1boxinstant chocolate pudding
8ounces Cool Whipor homemade whipping cream
Topping
8ouncesCool Whip
2ouncesDove Dark Chocolate shaved
Instructions
Roll out pre-made pie crust into pie pan.
Fudge Pie Filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the butter and chocolate together. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, stir until well combined.
Pour filling into the pie crust and bake in unbaked pie crust shell for 35 minutes.
Remove pie from the oven and let it sit on a cooling rack until cool. Chill in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. You may also make the pie in advance and leave in the refrigerate up to 1-2 days, then make the topping and serve.
While the fudge pie is chilling, make the chocolate mousse by whisking together 1 1/2 cups of milk and 1 box of chocolate instant pudding. Beat for 2-3 minutes, then fold in 8 ounces of Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream.
Topping
Add the Cool Whipped or homemade whipped topping to the top of the pie in large dollops. Top with shaved chocolate and serve immediately or let it chill in the fridge 30-60 minutes.
