How to Make Chocolate Biscuits

⋆ Ingredients ⋆

– All-purpose flour – Baking powder – Granulated sugar – Unsweetened cocoa powder – Cream of tartar – Sea salt – Cold butter – Milk

In a medium mixing bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar, and sea salt.

Using a pastry blender, your hands, or a knife and fork, cut in the butter into the dry ingredients until the flour resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the milk to the flour mixture and stir with a fork until the mixture comes together. On a lightly floured surface pull out the dough and knead until it is smooth.

Dust the countertop or surface you will roll out the dough on with cocoa powder. Then roll out the dough until it is 1/2 inch thick. Cut out dough using a 3-inch biscuit cutter

Serve immediately with whipped cream and berries, or set on the counter or serving dish until ready to serve.
