Ingredients
1tablespoon olive oil
1cupdiced yellow onionchopped
1poblano pepper, chopped
1teaspoongarlic powder
2poundslean ground beef
28ouncescrushed tomatoes
16ouncessalsa
8-10tablespoonschili seasoning
3tablespoon beef bullion
1cup water
2teaspoonsoregano
2teaspoonscumin
1 teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonground black pepper
Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic powder, poblano, and onion, cooking for 1 minute. Then add the capsicum and cook for another 2 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
Increase the heat to high and add the beef. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it’s mostly browned.
Add the Chili powder, seasonings, beef bullion, water and mix and cook until it comes to a gentle simmer and cook uncovered on medium-low heat for 20–40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chili is thickened and flavorful.
