16ouncesItalian Sausage
1/2yellow onion
1tbspgarlicminced
20ouncesrefrigerated cheese raviolieasily sub any sort of ravioli
28ouncespasta sauce
4cupsmozzerella cheesefinely shredded
2cupslow-fat ricotta cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
In a large saute pan over medium-high heat cook the sausage, onion, and garlic, until the sausage is all the way cooked through. Drain the grease from the meat and add back to the pan.
Pour the pasta sauce into the pan and mix together; set aside.
Spread 1 1/4 cup meaty pasta sauce in an ungreased 13x9 baking dish.
Layer with half the ravioli, 1 1/4 cups sauce, 1 low-fat ricotta cheese, and top with mozzarella.
Add the remaining half the ravioli, 1 1/4 cups sauce, 1 low-fat ricotta cheese, and top with mozzarella.
Add the remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese on top, place in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes, top with fresh basil and parmesan cheese before serving.
