Baked Cinnamon Sugar Apple Slices are a perfect snack. Crispy baked apple slices coated in cinnamon and sugar like a fruit chew but better!
We love making these Baked Cinnamon Sugar Apple Slices through the spring and summer seasons. It is a great game-day snack to munch on at the baseball fields and a fantastic poolside treat. I love eating these baked apple slices as much as the kids, so I triple the batch every time I make them.
My Favorite Kitchen Tools To Make This Recipe
From trusty pots and pans to handy gadgets, Iโve curated a list of products I use and love.
So, my new obsession recently has become a dehydrator. I need one; well, no, let me correct that; I want one. I went on a road trip with my friend Sarah and her family + dog to Utah for a conference. It was nice riding in a car where I didnโt have to yell at anyone to stay in their seat or stop fighting.
The drive was peaceful because I didn’t have my kids in tow, but that wasnโt the drive’s highlight. The best part was the dried pineapple pieces that Sarah had made. YUM! They tasted like candy. I couldn’t wait to come home and make them, but then I soon realized you need a dehydrator, and well, that’s not my thing because all I would do in it is pineapple, and I can buy that cheaper than it would be for me to invest in a dehydrator and I am saving cupboard space.
So I went with baked apple slices, and I was pleasantly surprised with how good these are, and I haven’t made them until now.
When they were little, my kids were weary the first time I made these, but once they tried them, within 15 minutes, these Baked Cinnamon Sugar Apple Slices were gone.
Recipe Tips
What I love about these baked apple slices is that you can have them for breakfast, lunch, or as a snack.
There is only one downside to this fantastic snack: you must plan to have these because of the baking time.

Baked Cinnamon Sugar Apple Slices
Ingredients
- 3 apples I used Honeycrisp
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and prepare two baking pans/sheets by lining with parchment paper.
- Thinly slice the apples, I used my mandolin. Get rid of any seeds. Arrange on the prepared baking sheets, making sure to have the slices placed in a single layer not overlapping.
- In a small bowl combine cinnamon and sugar. Then sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over apples.
- Place in preheated oven and bake for 1 hour. Then at 1 hour gently shake the pans, so that the apples move just a bit. Return to oven and bake for another 1-1 ยฝ hours or until they have crisped up and no longer moist.
I tried preparing these without the sugar and it’s equally delicious (even a bit healthier). =)
This is the best snack! I love the texture!

Every year we are blessed with more apples than we know what to do with from our orchard. We ended up making these slices and they turned out amazing. Such a great way to put all those hundreds of apples to good use.
