Cinnamon Walnut Cream Cheese Frosting made with cinnamon and chopped walnuts added to a classic cream cheese frosting which takes it to a whole new level.
As quoted by my husband, “I think this is one of the best, maybe the best things you have ever made.” I served this frosting with a recipe I am featuring over at Rhode’s Rolls blog Cinnamon Roll Griddle Toast. And while I think he was just starving. It is pretty dang good.
Once I had my Cinnamon Roll Griddle Toast complete, I knew that I needed some sort of amazing frosting to serve it with. Because it would just make the toast pop from the plate. At first, I thought a classic cream cheese but inspired by the amazing cinnamon rolls I decided to go with a cinnamon walnut. I love walnuts on top of my cinnamon rolls, raisins too but the rest of my family are not keen on raisins and some gag at the sight of nuts but I thought I would take the risk and add walnuts anyway.
And it was a hit!
It was kind of awesome guys because my kids were whining all day about chores, finally, I said the people who do their chores without whining will get a piece of Cinnamon Roll Griddle Toast with this amazing, delicious Cinnamon Walnut Cream Cheese Frosting. They were drooling and it worked. They did their chores oh so quickly and without complaint. Win for me in two ways: one they got their chores done and #2 I didn’t eat the whole batch on my own. Thank goodness I would have been on the treadmill for another hour.
You can serve this frosting with cake, pie, with rolls or just flat out eat, either way, you will love this Cinnamon Walnut Cream Cheese Frosting. Guaranteed! Enjoy!
