These Monster Cookies and “Monster” Teacher Treats are soft, chewy cookies, perfect for a back-to-school teacher treat. They are utterly irresistible!
A few times a year I love to bring our teachers at O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary School treats! I just love the entire staff at our school and I feel so blessed that my children get the opportunity to grow and learn there every day. I want to show my love and appreciation for all they do by bringing in little goodies. Sometimes I will make enough for the entire staff, even though I know they always don’t last that long… lol!
I know Mr. Mohs & Mr. Kale love my coffee cake and cookies and sometimes they have been known to take more than one… another reason I love them. On top of bringing in homemade treats, I have also been known to occasionally make a Starbucks run for the front office ladies. This school continues to amaze me every year. I want to share one of our favorite treats that we love to give them for the first week of school.
I like to do this the first week of school as I feel that it may help prepare them that occasionally my children will let out a monster like quality, a cute monster though and I know that my children are probably the ones that do this…(wink, wink). In addition, I hope it reminds them how much we love and appreciate all they do and will do for the coming school year. Here are the Monster Cookie Labels that I used above.
Enjoy! XOXO San
How do you make Monster Cookies and “Monster” Teacher Treats?
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
In a very large bowl, beat the eggs.
-
Add the remaining ingredients in order, mixing well.
-
Use a cookie dough scoop to put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Let them cool before moving to a rack.
-
To make these into teacher treats: I buy the medium sized clear bags from Hobby Lobby. I place the cookie in the bag, turn the top of the bag over and cut off the extra, leaving a small flap that I use to fold over and seal with our homemade monster label.
