White Chocolate Reese’s Pieces Rice Krispies Treats – white chocolate, Reese’s Pieces, and a gooey marshmallow treat melded into one of the finest snacks.
Dessert is all about guilty pleasures for me. This usually means some sort of chocolate, layered with chocolate, topped with chocolate and served with a side of chocolate. Seriously! Although there is one dessert, or shall I say snack that I just love. Rice Krispie treats!
Today, I added one of my favorite peanut butter candies with some white chocolate to make this new variation. Okay, I literally just drooled out of the side of my mouth writing this. White chocolate, Reese’s Pieces, and a gooey marshmallow treat melded into one of the finest snacks/desserts.
I would like to note that I often refer to a Rice Krispie treat as a snack, as it is not decadent enough for me to be a dessert. I know some would differ, hence why I refer to it as both a dessert and a snack.
Enjoy this treat, or whatever you want to call it… dessert? Snack? Or just delicious.
XOXO San
How do you make White Chocolate Reese’s Pieces Rice Krispies Treats?
-
Thoroughly grease a 9×13 with softened butter or cooking spray and set aside.
-
In a microwave safe bowl melt chocolate chips, heat for 1 minute, remove and stir. Then heat for another 30 seconds, repeat the process until chocolate is creamy and smooth. In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in the mini marshmallows until they’re totally melted.
-
Turn off the heat and stir in melted chocolate, once completely combined remove from the heat and stir in the Rice Krispies. Once the Krispies are stirred in, mix in the 1/2 bag of Reese’s Pieces.
-
Press mixture into the prepared buttered pan.
-
In a small microwaveable bowl, melt white chocolate melting chips, following directions on the package. Once chocolate has melted stir in the peanut butter and drizzle over bars. Top with a handful of left over Reese’s Pieces. Let the chocolate harden and cut into squares and serve.
-
If you like your Rice Krispie treats big, like pictured, double the recipe and still fold into a 9×13 pan. I do this every time and I like them this way… so do the kids.

Kids review: All but one of my kids were huge fans of this. My daughter Jersey, 5 years recently decided she hates peanut butter. To my surprise she picked out the Reese’s Pieces ate them and let the rice krispies there crumbled on the counter….hmm…maybe it’s a phase.
