Honey Sriracha Coleslaw is a tasty twist on the classic. Perfect as a sandwich topper or a flavorful side, it’s sure to be a crowd favorite.

I seriously love coleslaw—I don’t even need it on a sandwich, burger, or hot dog. I’ll happily eat it all on its own!

That said, I’m super picky about my coleslaw. Too many versions are way overdressed. If I can’t see the cabbage or tell whether there are carrots in it because it’s drowning in dressing, I won’t even go near it!

I also love when coleslaw has a little kick—whether it’s in the dressing, like this Honey Sriracha Coleslaw, or from bold add-ins like cilantro, onions, or even jalapeños. Those extra touches take it to the next level.

I’m all about coleslaws that break away from tradition. For me, a winning coleslaw has to include some kind of unexpected twist. That’s not to say I won’t eat a classic version—I just won’t be tempted to eat the whole bowl!

Coleslaw Tips

  • Start with less dressing than you think you need. You can always add more, but once it’s drenched, there’s no going back.
  • Whether it’s green, red, or Napa, fresh cabbage makes all the difference. Pre-shredded bags are fine in a pinch, but freshly shredded has way more crunch.
  • Letting your coleslaw sit for 15–30 minutes in the fridge helps the flavors meld. But too long and the cabbage may wilt—unless you’re into a softer slaw.
  • Fresh herbs like cilantro, green onions, or even fruit (apple, mango, pineapple) can add a fun twist and extra freshness.

I love coleslaw that keeps the cabbage tender-crisp while packing a flavorful punch—that’s exactly how I created this Honey Sriracha Coleslaw.

The dressing, made with mayo, sriracha, and fresh ginger, is absolutely irresistible. Honestly, I’d even use it as a dip—seriously yum!
