Are you ready for some football? Itโs time for the champions to take the field, and while many of you think I am talking about the two final teams that are headed to the big game, Iโm actually referring to my team: my daughter Jojo, my son Madden, and myself – the foodie team that won our first Foodie Bowl Championship last year.
Let me tell you, it all came down to our appetizer to bring in the win for our team! Every year for the big game my family of 7 divides into 2 teams, and we host a Foodie Challenge. Each team creates 3 dishes – 2 appetizers and 1 dessert. The teams have a tasty face-off, competing to be the champion of football food. This year my team will win again!
While preparing for the big Foodie Football Showdown, Iโm working on preparing a menu that will take down the other team: my husband Jake, my son Aiden, my daughter Jersey, and my youngest son Cannon. These DiGiornoยฎ Pepperoni STUFFED CRUSTยฎ Pizza Kabobs will help bring home the championship.
Using DiGiornoยฎ Pepperoni STUFFED CRUSTยฎ Pizza to make kabobs, I simply cut the already delicious pizza into squares and offer 3 homemade sauces to dip them in. But be forewarned, there may be a few that just want the kabob and no sauce – like my son Cannon. He loved the kabobs with nothing but the pizza.
These pizza kabobs are a fun way to eat DiGiornoยฎ Pizza. Not only did the kids love the presentation, but it was easy, less of a mess when eating the pizza, and perfect for a game day.
It was nice to be able to head to Walmart where the pizzas are on rollback prices. Not only that, they were easy to find in the freezer section.
While you bake up your DiGiornoยฎ Pepperoni STUFFED CRUSTยฎ Pizza, start to prepare your sauces. They are easy recipes that can add a colorful addition to your game day spread. The homemade marinara is easy and full of that traditional Italian flavor. The homemade alfredo can be made in less than 10 minutes. And the pesto sauce, my favorite, has a hint of garlic that makes it the secret weapon in my playbook.
So enjoy this fun and easy idea for your game day with DiGiornoยฎ Pepperoni STUFFED CRUSTยฎ Pizza Kabobs & dipping sauces. While youโre at it, add a six-pack of Coke and some Ritz crackers to your table.
The sauces are great to dip these buttery crackers in too. Together, this team is sure to bring home a victory for your party regardless who wins the big game!
Enjoy! XOXO San
