Tres Leches Muddy Buddies made with white cake, caramel and evaporated milk, having all the flavors of the famous milk cake but in a tasty bite-sized snack.
I went out this past weekend with my sister, Bonnie and my husband, Jake to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Hacienda Colorado. It has the best salsa and chips in the Denver area and makes an awesome all-beef burrito with a roasted poblano sauceโฆ drooling just thinking about it.
I usually eat way too much salsa to even think about desserts, but all of my sisters make me weak when it comes to the final course of any meal and when we are together there is no doubt at all, we will get dessert! So naturally, Bonnie and I checked the dessert menu, and Tres Leches cake was our selection.
I love Tres Leches! While eating this, I randomly thought how awesome this would be as a Muddy Buddy. Tres Leches is traditionally a white cake soaked in 3 types of milk, also known as a milk cake. So I incorporated evaporated milk, a white cake mix and caramel to bring this highly addictive Muddy Buddy.
Enjoy! XOXO San
