Easy Strawberry Blonde Dessert – with caramel, strawberry ice cream, Golden Oreos, and Cool Whip, this is a delicious summer treat made in just 10 minutes
Itโs summertime and you know what that means? You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream!
My favorite ice cream dessert is from Cold Stone, the Strawberry Blonde. It has vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, caramel, whipped cream, and graham cracker crumbs! Drooling just writing that. I just knew that I wanted to make my own, saving me a few extra bucks and I know it would be a hit at our summer BBQs.
After trying this dessert a few different ways, this was by far the best. The first few times, I mixed in fresh strawberries and used vanilla ice cream. But frozen strawberries are HARD to eat. And in fact, people would pick them out, even my kids. And strawberry syrup, well letโs not even go there.
So after a few trial runs, I present to you my FAVORITE ice cream treat โ a dessert that is easy to throw together and serve. It is so yummy that everyone will be screaming for seconds.
Enjoy! XOXO San
How do you make this Easy Strawberry Blonde Dessert?
-
Remove the strawberry ice cream from freezer and let it sit out at room temp to soften a little.
-
In a large mixing bowl stir together ice cream and crushed Oreos. I do this in my Kitchen Aid mixer, it helps prevent cold, sticky hands. Just stir enough just to combine, do not over mix or this will make it soupy.
-
Fold in Cool Whip and caramel topping.
-
Place in a 9×13 baking pan or a decorative serving dish.
-
You can either serve right away for a softer ice cream dessert or place in freezer for 1-2 hours.
-
Serve with fresh strawberries, and enjoy!
