Recipe tips

  • Use good-quality chocolate.
Since this recipe has so few ingredients, quality chocolate makes a big difference in flavor and texture. Stick with name-brand chips for the smoothest melt.
  • Chop the pecans finely.
Smaller pieces distribute more evenly, giving you crunchy pecans in every bite without overpowering the fudge.
  • Stir immediately after microwaving.
As soon as the bowl comes out of the microwave, stir well to prevent scorching and ensure the fudge turns smooth and glossy.
