My Favorite Kitchen Tools To Make This Recipe
From trusty pots and pans to handy gadgets, I’ve curated a list of products I use and love.
My son Madden has been a fudge fan since he was little. Every time we hit the local candy and ice cream shop, he skips all the other stuff and goes straight for the fudge; he loves it! Whether it’s classic chocolate, creamy white chocolate caramel, or another fun flavor, there’s something special to me now about a rich, sweet piece of fudge. Fudge is usually a nostalgic holiday treat, but not for Madden—and now, not for me either.
As a holiday treat, white chocolate caramel fudge is not just about the taste but the cozy vibes. The snowy white color of the fudge feels festive, and its rich flavor makes it a hit at any get-together. Whether on a dessert platter or wrapped as a homemade gift, it’s the perfect way to enjoy the holidays!
Fudge Tips
White Chocolate Fudge
I feel like white chocolate fudge doesn’t always get the attention it deserves because white chocolate often gets overshadowed by its darker chocolate relatives.
White chocolate fudge is fantastic because it combines its creamy, velvety texture with its smooth, sweet flavor. Unlike darker chocolates, white chocolate has a milder, buttery taste, making it great for adding caramel, nuts, or fruit. Its subtle sweetness lets other flavors pop while still giving you that rich, indulgent satisfaction fudge is famous for.

Fudge Made with Sweetened Condensed Milk
Fudge recipes often call for sweetened condensed milk, simplifying things while giving the treat a rich, creamy texture and sweetness.
Making traditional fudge can be a bit tricky, with the need for precise temperature control to avoid graininess. Using sweetened condensed milk makes the recipe easier, cutting the risk of crystallization and making it almost foolproof for beginners.
Sweetened condensed milk speeds up cooking, letting you skip the process of reducing cream and sugar. This makes fudge recipes faster and more convenient for home cooks.
Fudge Made with Marshmallow Cream
Fudge made with marshmallow cream is a tasty twist on the classic. It makes the fudge-making process more manageable while retaining that creamy, smooth texture. The cream also works as a stabilizer, helping the fudge set and keep its shape more quickly. This approach reduces mistakes, so you get consistent results every time.

White Chocolate Caramel Fudge
Ingredients
- 22 ounces white chocolate chips 2 bags
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 6 ounces caramel candies unwrapped
- 3 tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream divided
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare your pan: Line an 8×8 or 9×9 pan with parchment paper. You can spray the pan with cooking spray to help the parchment paper stick to the pan. You may also use tin foil sprayed with cooking oil for easy removal.
- Make the White Chocolate Fudge: In a medium microwavable mixing bowl, add white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and 2 1/2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Stir together and place in the microwave, and heat for 90 seconds. Immediately remove and beat together until smooth.
- Make the caramel: In a small microwavable bowl, add the unwrapped caramels and 1 tablespoon heavy cream and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the caramels are melted and smooth.
- Make your fudge layers: Pour 3/4 of your white chocolate fudge at the bottom of the prepared pan. Then top with dollops of the caramel by dropping the caramel in spoonfuls on top of the white chocolate fudge. Add the remaining white chocolate and swirl it with a butter knife, ensuring you do not mix the caramel into the white chocolate. We're going for that cool marble effect, you know?
- Chill your fudge: Now wrap your fudge pan with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours or until set.
