You won’t be able to resist these Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treats! They’re soft and chewy, pumpkin spiced, buttery & gooey – just like the original but even better.

Fall is my favorite season. The moment PSL (pumpkin spice latte) hits Starbucks, I am decorating for fall, making all things pumpkin, and getting my Christmas music on queue. Yes, I am that person you see wearing sweaters even at 90 degrees once the leaves have started to change.
One of our favorite mid-week sweet treats is Rice Krispie Treats. We love them and you can’t beat our recipe!

I made a batch of my Churro Rice Krispie treats and loved them, so I just simply replaced the cinnamon and sugar combination with pumpkin spice, and it worked out beautifully!
What makes this treat so special is that you may personalize it by varying the amount of pumpkin pie spice used. I propose using the suggested quantity in the recipe as a starting point and then fine-tuning from there.

Tips for making this recipe!
Salted butter makes all the difference – that touch of salt is subtle but it enhances the flavor of these bars.
Instead of completely melting the marshmallows, we leave it a little lumpy. That way, there are plenty of pockets of ooey-gooeyness in the bars.
The recipe makes enough for nine dessert bars, just the perfect amount so you don’t overinduldge.

Ingredients for these Rice Krispie Treats
- Butter, salted butter plus extra for the pan
- Rice Krispies cereal
- Marshmallows
- Pumpkin spice seasoning

How to make pumpkin spice marshmallow treats.
Butter an 8×8″ baking pan.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until almost melted; however, make sure to leave a few not fully melted for extra texture. Stir in pumpkin spice seasoning until well combined.

Remove the pot from heat and quickly stir in cereal until cereal is well coated.

Use a buttered spatula or wax paper to evenly press the mixture into the pan. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice if you desire. And enjoy!
Tips for storing rice krispie treats.
If you can resist eating them all in one sitting, follow these tips so they stay fresh and delicious:
To keep the bars from sticking to each other separate each with wax paper. This is helpful if you stack them in a container.
Be sure to use an airtight container. If the bars are exposed to air they will harden and dry out.
They will keep well for up to three days at room temperature.
