Bacon Hot Fudge Sauce is a sweet and salty chocolate treat with rich chocolate and smoky bacon for a bold, unforgettable flavor.
It’s perfect drizzled over ice cream, pancakes, or bananas—or simply enjoyed straight from the jar.

One of my all-time favorite shirts says, “PIGS—the inventors of bacon,” and every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments.
The shirt came from a trip to Iowa, where I toured the Brenneman family farm—a fully integrated swine and grain operation. The Brennemans were some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and I got to experience it all alongside some of my blogging besties.
This hot fudge sauce is the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and smoky flavors. It’s a deliciously unexpected treat that takes classic hot fudge to the next level.
It’s a delicious twist that brings a whole new level of flavor to your favorite desserts, adding a savory depth that keeps you coming back for more. This sauce is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Whether you’re hosting a gathering or simply indulging yourself – this sauce is guaranteed to impress and satisfy every craving. Give it a try—you won’t want to go back to plain chocolate sauce again!

Bacon Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients
- 5 slices bacon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium skillet pan, cook bacon over medium high heat until completely cooked and crunchy.
- I like mine crispy overall, but I like it really crispy for this recipe in particular.
- In a small mixing bowl stir together brown sugar and cocoa powder, set aside.
- Once you have cooked bacon remove it from skillet, reduce heat to medium and drain grease.
- Chop up bacon. I like it into small crumbs. But you can leave in coarse crumbs or finely chop, depending on the texture you would like in your fudge.
- Using the same pan, and over medium heat, add butter and milk, bring to a slow boil, and let it bubble for 3-5 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Add cocoa and brown sugar mixture, stirring constantly and cook for 2-3 minutes and sauce is smooth.
- Immediately remove from heat and stir in vanilla and bacon crumbles. Set aside to cool, to room temp to let the sauce thicken.
- Serve over ice cream, pancakes or anything. I highly recommend eating it straight from the jar, I have done both. Enjoy!
