These Asian Sticky Wings are full of flavor with crispy skins and a delicious sticky sauce.
Chicken wings coated in a delicious homemade Asian wing sauce are perfect for any occasion and so easy to make. Make them for parties, happy hours, movie nights, or as an appetizer. You will love them.
One of our absolute favorite appetizers are these chicken wings with a sticky sauce. I have a couple of chicken wing recipes on the blog, but these Asian chicken wings are always requested by the kids for parties and game nights.
These wings have more flavor and less spice, so they’re definitely kid-friendly. But you can still call them spicy if you want, thanks to the little tickle from the chili garlic sauce. The small kick of heat is perfectly balanced by the sweet and tangy components in the sauce. Add in the tender meat with the crispy skins, and you get the most amazing chicken wings.
I can promise they will be an instant family favorite at your house, too.
Sticky Wings Recipe
- Chicken wings
- Honey
- Soy sauce
- Chili garlic sauce
- Sesame oil
- Teriyaki sauce
- Rice vinegar
- Minced garlic cloves
- Gratedย fresh ginger
- Chopped green onions
- Thinly sliced red bell pepper
How do you make Asian Sticky Wings?
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Prepare a baking pan/sheet by spraying with cooking oil, then set aside.
In a large bowl stir together honey and teriyaki sauce.
Next, mix in soy sauce, fresh ginger & garlic, and chili garlic sauce.
Then add sesame oil and rice vinegar; stir until combined.
Toss chicken wings in sauce, pour onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, then open the oven and rub wings around in the sauce using a set of tongs. Close the oven and bake for another 10 minutes. Again re-coat the wings with the sauce from the pan, and turn the oven to a low broil.
Broil for 3-5 minutes, stir, then broil again for 5-7 minutes. Be sure to watch the wings while they broil, so that they do not burn. At this point, the sauce should be thickened.
Once done broiling, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with diced green onions and thinly sliced red peppers. Enjoy!

I’m all about any excuse to make wings…and a Big Hero 6 movie night this weekend sounds like the perfect excuse. We’ve been hit with a ton of snow here in New York, and I think a movie night + wings needs to be on the agenda. Thanks for sharing! #client
We made Baymax cookies too. These turned out really cute and those wings look super yummy.
