Creamy Bacon Jalapeño Dip takes all of the ingredients from our favorite jalapeño poppers and combines them into a creamy, cheesy, and easy-to-prepare dip.

Sporting events = a good game day appetizer and that is exactly what this Creamy Bacon Jalapeño Dip is. Great as an appetizer, but you could easily serve it as a side dish as well.

There are seven of us in our house, and all of us are enthusiastic sports fans, while not everyone of our kids grew up playing traditional sports, as a family we played all sorts of sports together and watched them too.

My husband played basketball all his life and went on to coach high school basketball for about eight years. I don’t know how many hours my kids and I spent in the gym watching his practices and games, but it was enough to have people accuse us of secretly training our infants to have perfect shooting form. When our kids got old enough where they could play, too, he retired from coaching high school ball and has been helping coach them.

How to make Bacon jalapeño Dip

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Crumble ten pieces of bacon and set aside in a bowl. Then, crumble the remaining two slices and set them aside in a separate bowl.

In a medium-sized bowl, add softened cream cheese, sour cream, ten slices of crumbled bacon, 1/2 cup chives, and jalapenos. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Then add all of the shredded cheese and stir together until the cheese is well mixed in.

Spoon into serving pan, I used a 6×10 rectangular serving dish, but you could use anything. Just make sure the dip is about 1 inch deep, or you may need to adjust cooking time.

Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes or until hot and bubbly and the cheese has a golden edge around the pan.

Remove from oven and serve with chips, crackers or vegetables.
