They have the most beautiful texture. Soft in the middle and a little crisp and chewy around the edges. This is achieved by creaming the butter with two types of sugar.

The brown sugar adds to the soft and chewy texture, while the granulated sugar creates a lightly crispy texture around the edges.

Ingredients

  • Salted butter
  • Granulated sugar

How to Store Them

Allow them to cool fully before storing. For best results, store them in an airtight container with pieces of wax paper separating each layer of cookies. They will keep well for up to a week at room temperature.

You can also freeze the baked cookies. Separate the layers with wax paper and keep them in a freezer-safe container. They will keep well in the freezer for up to a month.

To thaw from frozen, leave them out at room temperature for a few hours before serving.

    1. Yes, that is correct on the salt, but you can easily adjust that to your liking. And start with unsalted butter. It makes a lot of cookies, I would half the batch if you only want a couple of dozen. With our cookie dough scooper we get about 60-72 cookies 🙂

    1. You can easily adjust the salt, for sure. As far as the oven goes, pull them out at 11 minutes and let them cool, if you prefer a cookie a little more done, then please cook for another minute or two.
