Chocolate Mousse Fudge Pie is rich, creamy, decadent, and insanely delicious. It’s made with a brownie-like fudge and topped with chocolate mousse, whipped topping and shaved chocolate. This chocolate mousse pie recipe will quickly become a favorite.
Every time I make this pie, I always wonder why I ever make any other dessert. This recipe for chocolate mousse pie is simple to make with just a short list of ingredients. I love this twist on a fudge pie.
What’s great about this recipe too, is I will share a few short cuts, which are great to use around the holiday season (like premade crusts!). But of course, you can always make your pie crust from scratch and make quick homemade whipped topping if you’d like. In this season of life, I am all about ease, so those short cuts are time and sanity savers.
This holiday season, I am all about making my family’s traditional favorites. These include:
- Chocolate Mousse Fudge Pie
- My mom’s Italian Stuffing
- My twist on my grandmother’s Best Ever Mashed Potatoes
- My recipe for Slow Cooker Ham
I’m thrilled to be cooking and baking all of my holiday favorites, including my most popular holiday treat, German Chocolate Cake Cookies, in my newly furnished Beko kitchen.
I recently partnered with Beko Appliances to share with you their amazing appliance line and also their vision of energy efficiency with advanced technology. As the fastest growing brand in Europe, Beko is expanding into the U.S. market and is already in over 14 countries. I love that I get to be a part of sharing what I find fascinating about the brand.
While I love my new oven and dishwasher, I am obsessed with my new fridge. Obsessed! My favorite features are the compartments in the refrigerator, the ice maker and the dual doors for the freezer. With our large family, we decided to go with the 36” French 4-Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator. Not only is it stunning, it fits in perfectly with the rest of our kitchen. It’s incredible how much room there is inside this fridge.
Beko French 4-Door Freestanding Refrigerator Features:
- NeoFrost Dual Cooling Technology & Zone Temperature Adjustability
- Interior filtered water dispenser – this is my kid’s favorite feature.
- Fingerprint-free Stainless Steel, although somehow my kids have proven that you can still see smudges on the fridge – that is when you have little fingers sneaking dips of chocolate mousse or whipped cream, lol.
- Active Fresh Blue Light, I love this.
- Sabbath mode
- Multizone
- Inner Digital Display
- Interior LED Lighting
- 3 Freezer Drawers
- Automatic Ice Maker — 6 lbs. per day – our family’s favorite and most used part of the refrigerator.
There are a few things I want to touch on when talking about why I love the Beko Counter-Depth Refrigerator more than any other fridge we have ever had.
The ice maker! It sounds like something so silly, but truly, this ice maker is a beast. With four of our kids in competitive sports and one that loves to run, we go through ice like crazy. Not one fridge has ever been able to keep up. In the past, 2-3 people could fill up their water bottles and then the ice would run out. Not with our Beko fridge; we have yet to run out, even with the company over. My friend Rachael has the same fridge, and we both are constantly raving about the ice maker. She has four kids as well, so she completely understands me. Goodbye gas station ice bag runs.
The Active Fresh Blue Light & EverFresh+ technology in our Beko fridge is top of the line too. It keeps our fruit fresher for longer periods of time and keeps me sane from seeing our fruit go rotten if we don’t eat it in time.
Also, the fridge lets you know when the door is still open, and believe it or not, this happens all too often in our home. I had no idea how much the kids left the doors open until we got this fridge!
Unique Water Dispenser – at first, I wasn’t sure I would like this, having to leave the fridge open while the kids fill up their water bottle, but we have found this water to be amazing. No weird taste and there are no fights over getting in the fridge and filling up water bottles at the same time. We’ve found this to be a highlight for the kids.
The freezer drawers are amazing! I love this because previously with all our other freezers, I could never find anything. Things would get crammed in and lost. With the freezer drawers acting as compartments for our family, this has kept our freezer clean! We have one drawer dedicated to mini-frozen pizzas. My middle schoolers love this for their lunches. The other drawers are for ice cream and then the famous in-drawer ice maker. And, you still have two shelves, so not the entire freezer is drawers.
NeoFrost Trio Cooling Technology & Zone Temperature Adjustability – this unique cooling system allows you to have different settings in various parts of the fridge and freezer, allowing you to keep your vegetables fresher for a longer period of time, while maintaining optimal humidity. This feature has been great for my holiday baking. Speaking about baking, check out the oven. I am just obsessed with the gas range and can’t wait to share all the features with you soon on my next recipe!
How to make Chocolate Mousse Pie
- Roll out pre-made pie crust into pie pan.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt the butter and chocolate together. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, stir until well combined.
- Pour filling into the pie crust and bake in unbaked pie crust shell for 35 minutes.
- Remove pie from the oven and let it sit on a cooling rack until cool. Chill in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. You may also make the pie in advance and leave in the refrigerator up to 1-2 days. Then make the topping and serve.
- While the fudge pie is chilling, make the chocolate mousse by whisking together 1 1/2 cups of milk and 1 box of chocolate instant pudding. Beat for 2-3 minutes, then fold in 8 ounces of Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream.
- Add the Cool Whip or homemade whipped topping to the top of the pie in large dollops. Top with shaved chocolate and serve immediately or let it chill in the fridge 30-60 minutes.
One of the things that I love about this chocolate pie recipe is that it’s made with ease using chocolate pudding. I grew up with this shortcut, and I love that I have it in my recipe box because it is easy to go to a recipe that you can make in 5 minutes or less.
How do you make a chocolate pie with pudding?
Whether you are using a pie crust that needs to bake or a graham cracker crust, using the pudding in a chocolate pie is the same either way. Simply, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of milk and 1 box of chocolate instant pudding and beat for 2-3 minutes. Then fold in 8 ounces of Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream.

To me, the holiday season is much like my kitchen – a time and place where the people I love gather, spend quality time together and of course, enjoy good food. I’m more than thrilled to not only share this recipe for Chocolate Mousse Fudge Pie that my family has enjoyed for years, but also sharing the heart of my home, the grand hub where my family comes together to create memories, share stories and when I can partner with companies like Beko to bring it all to life.
