How to make layered Rice Krispie Treats

To make a layered cereal and marshmallow treat, you will need 3 cups of rice krispies in 3 separate bowls, one bowl with each layer. So you will need exactly 9 cups of cereal.

To make the marshmallow cream for each layer, have 3 medium microwave-safe bowls and put 6 ounces of marshmallows and two tablespoons of butter in each bowl. Heat one bowl at a time in the microwave for one minute until the marshmallows puff up, being careful not to let them overflow.
