Cilantro Avocado Ranch Dressing – Ready in 5 minutes & packed with flavor with avocado and fresh cilantro, this dressing is really easy to make.
This flavorful Cilantro Avocado Ranch Dressing will have you forgetting all about traditional ranch.
My family is full of picky ranch eaters. In fact, all of us will judge a restaurant based on their ranch.
When I first met my husband and while we were dating if a restaurant carried ranch dressing he would ask to sample it before we even ordered. Humiliated, I thought this guy was a little crazy but just enough crazy that I kept dating him.
On one occasion he didn’t care enough for their ranch that we walked out. I’m not kidding, it was so embarrassing.
Honestly, I am surprised he kept dating me because before our second date, a date to the Nuggets game {box seats}, he called and told me he had the stomach flu. My entire family thought he was lying and kind of snickered about it but I knew he wouldn’t miss box seats for basketball game because he loves basketball.
Knowing his love for ranch the next day I decided to head over to his house and drop off a sweet note and a bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch. You see at the time I had no idea how particular he was about this ranch dressing and I was completely unaware of his total dislike for Hidden Valley Ranch.
But… he loved the gesture and waited a few weeks to tell me how much he hated that dressing. I was so embarrassed, which seemed to be the theme of our first few weeks dating.
Luckily only 9 months later, he asked for my hand in marriage and it was of course destined that our children would too become ranch critics.
Homemade ranch is the way to go because you can really get the texture and creaminess you want. I love making homemade ranch because you can add your own touches of spice or adding in fresh veggies to switch it up a bit. We love my Taco Ranch Dressing and so anything with a southwestern flare we dig.
This past summer at Girl’s Camp, where I was the camp cook we had a taco salad night. I had some leftover cilantro from making homemade salsa and decided to throw it into my ranch dressing. It was oh, so good. So when I threw it all together at home, I wanted my kids and me to be able to distinguish it between our other bottle of homemade ranch in the refrigerator, so I wanted to add a little green color to it – so that’s when I added the avocado.
This Cilantro Avocado Ranch Dressing was an instant hit with the family.
In fact, the kids were using it as a dip for their chips and taquitos! I, of course, did too!
So whether you make this Cilantro Avocado Ranch Dressing to top on a salad or you need a game day or holiday dip. This Cilantro Avocado Ranch Dressing is the way to go.
Enjoy this recipe, friends, we approved it, and this is coming from a household of picky ranch eaters. XOXO San
