Cookies & Cream Hot Fudge Sauce – everything your cookies and cream heart desires in one rich, chocolatey hot fudge sauce.
Now anyone who knows our family or follows my blog knows how much we love our Best Ever Hot Fudge Sauce and that we’d eat it drenched over just about anything. Whenever we have guests over or are celebrating something, we typically serve hot fudge sauce because it always gets rave reviews and some oohs and ahhs.
This week we returned from a 10-day kid-paradise vacation in FL. My son, Madden, was really the only one excited to be home – all because two of his best friends just returned from their own respective trips. Madden is our quieter kids. The middle of five children, he is very laid back, soft-spoken and a pleaser. When we moved into our new home, my husband and I wished for him to have at least one friend in the neighborhood, and about a month after we moved in, Daniel’s family moved in as well, making our wish come true. A few days later we discovered Madden’s other best friend, Benny, a few doors down the other direction.
So, the minute we got home, Madden wanted to go and play with his buds. He couldn’t wait, and the next day they asked if they could celebrate with a special treat. Too exhausted from vacation but wanting to help these little guys celebrate their friend reunion, I couldn’t say no.
Luckily, I had two I Love Ice Cream Cakes in the freezer. I love having these on hand for moments like these. I let the boys pick out which cake they wanted: The OREOยฎ or Carvelยฎ. You can probably guess where they went… OREOยฎ. I would have gone Carvelยฎ (a football game day favorite) because of the chocolate fudgy center, and when I pointed this out, the boys asked, “Can you make a fudge sauce to go on it?” We had two that wanted fudge sauce and one that didn’t.
Fudge or no fudge? That is the question.
That was an easy request. So I stuck with the theme of the Oreo Ice Cream Cake and went with this Cookies & Cream Hot Fudge Sauce.
Look at these smiles.
Best friends, ice cream cake, and Cookies & Cream Hot Fudge Sauce – an incredible combination.
Whether it’s a small get together with close friends, game day, a BBQ, a party or a simple celebration (like being reunited with friends after weeks away), I love having something incredibly delicious and fun on hand like one or two I Love Ice Cream Cakes. It is easy for me with fewer dishes and clean up, and I can always customize the cakes to unique occasions. Add words or simple decorations and serve them as they are or with a sauce on the side, either way, I Love Ice Cream Cakes please everyone.
You can get these cakes at just about any grocer; I found them at my local Walmart in the bakery section in the freezer case. If you want to find the nearest grocer that carries these cakes, click on the product locator link. Anytime I serve an I Love Ice Cream Cakes cake, I get all smiles – just like the boys’.
Summer get-togethers and parties should be centered around friends and family. And today, using the Oreo Ice Cream Cake I already had made it easy for these boys to celebrate their reunion and their friendship. Enjoy friends. XOXO San
