This Easy Skillet Lasagna is comfort food made in just one pot. This 25-minute meal is easy to make, with simple ingredients, and beyond delicious.
I love easy dinners, especially on the crazy weeknights. If I can find a meal that can be made in under 30 minutes and the entire family loves it, it’s a winner and will be repeated, repeated and repeated. Over and over again until my kids ask not to have it. I knew this Easy Skillet Lasagna would be something everyone would love because they love spaghetti. And this lasagna recipe is a little saucier than your typical oven baked lasagna and I think that is why everyone loves it.
This dish is just gorgeous! It is a very easy meal to take to someone as well. The night I made this my sister needed a meal to take a friend, so I just threw another skillet on the stovetop and did them both at the same time. We then transferred their meal to a foil pan and it still looked just as beautiful.
So if you’re in a bind and need a quick meal, this Easy Skillet Lasagna is your answer. Enjoy this classic comfort food brought to you from your stovetop, not the oven.

How do you make Easy Skillet Lasagna?
In a large skillet add the Italian sausage and onion and cook over medium-high heat. Stir and break up the sausage while it is cooking until the meat is browned and cook through. Drain the grease if you need to.
Add in the garlic, canned tomato sauce, can of water and Italian seasoning. Reduce heat to medium-low and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the cream cheese until melted.
Break up the lasagna noodles into 3 to 4 pieces. Stir them into the sauce until they are completely covered. Make sure to move around the noodles so that they are laying completely flat.
Tuck the mozzarella slices in between the noodles and spoon the ricotta cheese on top, in tablespoon dollops. Place a fitted lid on skillet and let it simmer until noodles are completely cooked, about 12-14 minutes. Check halfway through to see if you need to add some water, as you do not want the noodles to stick to the bottom of the pan and have it dry up.
Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. Top with freshly chopped basil and Parmesan cheese.
